A Strong Friendship

Our time is now
It's as plain as day

Changing Seasons

Summer comes and summer goes.
Friends are friends and foes are foes.
December passes and winer wanes
Yet there is something that still remains.
The bond we have has fully bloomed
And matched by only our lovely tune.
My time with you I will always remember
From January to June,
July to December.

Monotony

Wake up
Get up
Go out
Learn.
Suffer
Fake it
Pretend
Go home.
Listen, endure
Work, reassure.
Oh these long nights
Is there a cure?

Sleep

My eyelids droop
the floorboards creep
but still I cannot
find my dear sleep.
I'll stay up all night
just thinking of you
and wonder if really
to me you'll stay true.
I'll still have no peace
the bright sun comes out
and all of the shadows
they melt into doubt.
Though I still love you,
perhaps it is time
we have found our tree
and it's too tall to climb.
Forever and always
I'll remember you
and think back so fondly
of days spent with you.
My eyelids droop
my heart starts to weep
I long for the chance
to fall into sleep.

Shadows

A task so hard

that I really should quit,

is chasing the shadows,

though ne'er I'll admit.

They stealthily move

and are very fleeting,

it's like they can hear

my heart when it's beating.

So quietly now

they flit all around,

appearing on walls

but never the ground.

Into one room

and right out the other,

they're looking so hard

so hard for a brother.

Though shadows they mix

-- come from everything, 

they're all on their own 

with no one for King.

A group oh! united

yet very divided:

shadows, they weep

in the dark when you sleep.
